The PSG eBulletin was started on experimental basis in September 2006. The subscription to this news letter has increased and now we have a large database of email addresses from both PSG members & non-members who are interested in the activities of Society. These include doctors from various disciplines and specialties, pharmaceutical industries etc.
The subscription of this eBulletin is free for all those who are interested in PSG. This news letter is a double opt-in and opts-out type of mailing list. To get one included in this list one has to register his email address on the PSG website (www.psg.org.pk) there is a button with title “Subscribe”. On clicking on this button a form appears where one can register his email address. An email is immediately sent on the email address entered automatically for confirmation. The person has to check his email and click on the link given in the email to confirm his inclusion in the mailing list for PSG Newsletter. The newsletter will only start mailing after confirmation. This is to prevent any third party to register someone email address without their desire.
At the bottom of every eBulletin that one receives from this list there are two options, one is to stop mailing of further eBulletin and other is to update/modify or unsubscribe from the list.
The process of subscription, update and un-subscription are done by user him/herself and are carried at the server end automatically.
Some email programs like Hotmail, Yahoo mail and Outlook etc. have junk filters and send the email from addresses not in your email contact list to junk folder; it is advised that you enter the following email address to your contacts list to prevent this from happening

We have started to send all communications to members of PSG form central office by this email list in addition to the regular mail by Pakistan Post Office with intention to completely switch to email in future. As an initial measure, we have put all the email addresses of the members available with the PSG Office as confirmed subscriber to this list. The members of PSG are encouraged to register their email addresses in this Bulletin and also to spread this information to your colleagues who have not registered yet to register by visiting this website and clicking on the subscribe link below.
